Linking to another Story

When writing/editing an Essay you can now include ‘cards’ to other stories.
When adding a new component to a story you can choose type ‘Card’ and then add a series of reference to stories in your own collective, or another collective.

Using Cards, to draw in other stories.

(Those linking to a story in a different collective are marked.)

Respecting Privacy

Respecting Story privacy has always been of great importance to us at Storyus, as such if you include stories which have different privacy levels (private, collective, inner circle, outer circle, guest, public) these are respected, when referenced in your story - as such the consumer/reader  of a story will only see the story cards at the level that they have the permissions to know if they exist or not.

Tokens

Tokens can be used to provide a shareable link to a story, outside of it’s privacy setting. When writing a story, you can alias and then ‘tokenise’ the story, to provide a shareable link which will work even if the recipient is not a member of the collective, or perhaps is not logged in (which often happens when sharing via social media networks such as twitter or facebook).

Tokens enable sharing into emails and social networks where readers are probably not logged in - while retaining other privacy settings.
