Reflections

A longer look back: a collage of photos and words.

A Reflection is a longer look back - what the thing meant, not just what happened. On the page it's a collage: a masthead, tiles of photos, and passages of writing woven between them. Its quiet superpower is that several people can each make their own Reflection of the same event - in +demos, four family members reflect on one trip, and no two read alike.

The collage editor

The layout is composed for you - your job is to fill it well. Click any writing to edit it in place. For the photos, two gestures:

  • Tap a tile to choose its photo. The library picker opens; what you pick drops into that spot.
  • Swap two tiles. Tap a tile's swap button to arm it (it glows green), then tap the tile to trade places with. Esc - or tapping it again - backs out.

One tile armed, one tap to go: the two-tap swap. Arranging a collage becomes a card game.
The first photo doubles as the story's card in Browse and magazines, unless you set a preview image yourself in the publish panel - so give the top-left tile your strongest photograph.
